Since I’m working on a complete redesign of my corporate website right now, I spend a fair amount of time browsing over some of the web showcase sites for inspiration. I stumbled on one that caters to the blog-only crowd, called Lovely Blogs, run by college student Ben Bleikamp.
Lovely Blogs is a design showcase, similar to Stylegala or CSS Beauty. Unlike those two sites, the focus is 100% on blogs. Along with showcasing the best looking blogs online there will be articles teaching people how to make their blogs look lovelier – from customizing a template to using a editing a plug in to match your site.

Something really cool just happened to me. A few weeks ago I signed up for Grist Magazine’s newsletter, Daily Grist, which is a snarky, clever look at the current environmental headlines. When I signed up, I guess it made me eligible for a $250 gift certificate from the swanky, eco-tailer Greenloop. I won. Can you believe it? I won.
